- GOP Tax Cut: On December 22, 2017 President Trump signed a tax bill that would give a tax cut to individuals and corporations, which especially gives an opportunity to people that want to become small business owners due to the money that they would save on taxes, it would be used to grow their business. I found this opportunity by reading about the tax cut on the news. The prototypical customer would be any entrepreneur trying to start a business. It is a relatively easy opportunity to exploit, since the tax cut is for any type of business, the extra money would come in any market that they would enter.
I saw it because I saw the opportunity of using the extra money that the tax cut would bring to grow the business

- Nintendo Switch: In its 10 month lifespan, the console has sold more than 15 million units, making it the fastest selling console in US history. This brings an opportunity for third party accesories, especially as it is a hybrid console, and because of that people will buy accesories to keep their Switch safe on the go. I found this opportunity after Nintendo released their 2017 Financial Report.
The large and unexpected number of sales in its first year is what leads me to believe that and opportunity might exist. The prototypical customer would be parents whose child owns a Switch and want to keep it safe when they take it on the go. I believe this opportunity is relatively easy to exploit because even though there is a large number of competitors, the demand is also very high.
I saw this opportunity because I personally own a switch and have already purchased accesories such as cases and screen protectors, and when I saw the number of sales in the FInancial Report I figured out how to take advantage of it
- Puerto Rico Crisis: Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico on September of 2017 and left complete destruction in the island, which brings an opportunity for rebuilding it better than it was before. I found the opportunity after reading about Tesla providing the island with its batteries to porvide electricity, which would then make Tesla the owner and provider of the electricity infrastructure of the island, so any other company could do something similar. This opportunity is for any cmpany that would like to expand into the island. This is a very difficult opportunity to exploit because of the current situation of the island
I saw this opportunity because I believe that times of crisis are a synonym of times of opportunity
- Net Neutrality Bill: On December 14, 2017, the FCC's Republican majority apporved Chairman Ajit Pai's plan to gut the Net Neurality protections. I found this opportunity when learning about this change on the news about six months ago, when there was a large campaign on the internet to stop this bill. This information suggests that an opportunity might exist because it leaves an opening to new ISPs (Intermet Service Provider) that can offer lower prices and better deals than the ones that currently exist have. The prototypical customer for this opportunity is any person in the United States with internet access that is not willing to pay more for what they currently have with their ISP. This opportunity is probably relatively hard to exploit because of the competition; the big ISPs like Comcast are extremely anti-consumer and will try to prevent new companies from entering the market.
I saw this because I consider myself a prototypical customer of this opportunity, and when I heard the news about the Net Neutrality ruling I figured out how to take advantage of it

I was well aware of the Puerto Rico crisis, and Elon Musk was able to help out the island. I do have to say that Solar City plans to expand in the island, with their being an opportunity to exploit. The original opportunity existed because there was an expected six months plus in order to bring back the electricity. Elon Musk was able to exploit that opportunity because it was the perfect publicity in order to bring electricity to Puerto Rico hospitals. For people like us, it would take a lot of resources in order to pull this off.
